The Nationwide crew took their road show to OReilly Race Park tonite for 125 laps of door bangin’ action and they did not disappoint. Nick Earl put his #83 Pontiac Grand Prix on pole to start the event. From the outset it was apparent that he and Warren Johnson were the class of the field. Between them they led 123 laps with Warren getting the bonus points for 99 laps led!

There was good racing around the track, with 8 lead changes and only 4 caution periods for a total of 20 laps. Mr. Earl was trying a fuel strategy on the last run but a late caution allowed the #12 and #13 to duck into the pits for fresh rubber and restart with 10 to go. This would prove to be the winning move for Warren as both he, the #13 and the #63 passed the #83 relegating him to a fourth place finish. Paul Zotta brought home his psychadelic #63 to take third. Madison Illinois — Racing Under the Arch

This week’s installment of Nationwide racing took the guys to St. Louis for some laps under the lights at Gateway! A smaller than normal field took the green, led by Warren Johnson in his Ryan Auto Body Dodge.

Once again, Mr. Johnson led the most laps, as there were only four lead changes amongst three different drivers tonite! the race also was relatively clean as only two caution flags flew for a total of 8 laps. In the end, the race to the checkers was between, Johnson, B Walters, and J Cummins. Jeff made a late race pass of Billy with two to go as the #88 ran his tires to the cords, and the Corvette came home second.

A very exciting race in the heartland for sure…congrats Warren! (JC)
